How Much Does a Wedding Photographer and Videographer Cost in Belgium?

2026 Prices are VAT included and a Notebook for Comparing Quotes By · Mic and Fred, À tantôt! Productions

How much does a wedding photographer and videographer cost in Belgium? Should you plan for €2,000, €3,500 or more to keep beautiful memories of your day? And is it better to choose a duo or two separate providers?

When you start looking, prices vary so much that it is hard to know what budget to plan for. Some packages include a few hours of coverage, others cover almost the whole day. Here, an album is included; there, you have to add a couple session or a longer film.

We asked ourselves these same questions while building our own packages at À tantôt! Productions. We also studied the offers available on the Belgian market to better understand the differences in prices and services.

Here is what we took away from it, the choices we made for our business, and the questions we recommend you ask yourselves before booking your wedding photographer and videographer.

Before looking at prices, which memories do you want to keep?

This is probably the first question to answer. And yet, when you start looking for providers, it is easy to compare prices, portfolios and packages before you have even defined what really matters to you.

If you had to choose the memories you absolutely want to keep, which would they be?

The preparations, the looks exchanged during the ceremony, the vows, your loved ones' reactions, the group photos, the spontaneous conversations during the cocktail hour, the speeches, or the atmosphere of the evening? Not everything is told the same way in photo and in video.

Photography lets you pause on an expression, a gesture or a detail. Video adds movement, voices, laughter, speeches and sound. The two complement each other, but your priorities may be different.

At À tantôt! Productions, this complementarity is exactly what interests us. Mic takes the photos, Fred films. We share the same day, but each of us tells it through our own eyes and our own medium.

We particularly love moments that unfold naturally, the small details that say something about your story, and the instants you may not have noticed at the time. That approach guides our work: adventure, authenticity, and memories you can live and relive.

Before asking for quotes, take the time to think about what matters most to you. Do you mainly want beautiful photos? A film that lets you hear your loved ones' voices again? Both equally? Full coverage of the day, or only its key moments?

These answers will help you choose a package that fits, rather than paying for options you don't really want or need.

How much does a wedding photographer and videographer cost in Belgium in 2026?

We looked at the prices published by various providers and the ranges quoted in guides about the Belgian market. A first conclusion stands out: there is no single price for wedding coverage, and advertised prices do not always correspond to comparable services.

The price of a wedding photographer

For a professional photographer, the prices we observed range from a few hundred euros for a short ceremony to several thousand euros for full coverage. For coverage from several hours to a full day, we found offers of around €1,300 to €3,500, with higher prices for some premium services.

The number of hours, the photographer's experience, the retouching work, the number of images delivered, the presence of an album and the level of support all affect the price.

So six hours of coverage cannot be compared directly with a service that starts at the preparations and ends in the middle of the dance.

The price of a wedding videographer

For video, the prices we observed are often around €1,500 to €2,500 for a full day with an edited film. More elaborate services can exceed €3,000.

Again, the price depends on how much of the wedding is covered, the equipment used, the sound recording and the editing work. A film of a few minutes, a longer documentary and a service that includes several versions of the film do not represent the same amount of work.

The price of a photo and video duo

For a duo, the public offers we looked at show combined packages of around €2,400 to €4,000 for some services, while more complete or premium coverage can go well beyond that range.

These amounts are reference points taken from published offers, not a statistical average of the whole Belgian market. Differences in coverage, deliverables and conditions make any general comparison tricky.

For two providers booked separately, adding up the previous ranges gives an order of magnitude of roughly €2,800 to €6,000 for photo and video. But you still need to check that both quotes cover the same moments, include comparable deliverables and account for the coordination between the professionals.

Our advice: don't just compare the amount at the bottom of the quote. Look at what you will actually receive, how the day will be covered, and how much working time is included in the service.

What budget should you plan for your wedding?

Once you have a first idea of prices, we recommend setting two amounts: the budget you would ideally like to spend on your memories, and the maximum you are ready to invest.

This distinction is useful. Your ideal budget helps guide your search; your maximum budget keeps you from being drawn toward options that don't match your means.

At À tantôt! Productions, we built four packages to meet different needs. We don't believe every wedding needs twelve hours of coverage, a premium album and several sessions. It all depends on your day and on what you want to keep from it.

A duo or two separate providers: what changes?

Choosing a photo and video duo brings together two complementary skills within a team that is used to working together. That doesn't mean two separate providers can't do excellent work, but coordination then needs to be discussed from the very first exchanges.

With Mic on photography and Fred on video, we prepare your day together. We know how each of us works, what space to leave each other, and how to avoid getting in each other's way during the important moments.

We are not trying to produce exactly the same image with two cameras. We want to tell the same memories in two ways: a photograph that stops time, and a video that lets you relive it.

You also have only one duo to meet and to prepare your coverage with. This simplifies communication and lets us go over together the moments you absolutely want to keep.

If you choose two independent professionals, ask them whether they are used to working together and how they will organize themselves on the day. Check in particular how they will coordinate during the ceremony, the group photos, the couple session and the speeches.

Budget-wise, a duo can offer a combined price that is better than two separate bookings. But this is not automatic: always compare the exact content of both offers before drawing a conclusion.

What do you actually pay for when you book wedding coverage?

You might think the price mostly corresponds to the photographer and videographer being present on your wedding day. In reality, that day is only one part of the work.

Before your wedding, we talk with you to understand your wishes, your schedule, and the people or moments that matter most to you. We prepare our coverage so that we can work discreetly and efficiently.

On the day, Mic takes the photos and Fred films. We observe what is happening, anticipate certain moments and adapt to the rhythm of your day. Our goal is to tell what you are living without asking you to redo a scene to get a shot.

After the wedding, the work continues. Mic selects and retouches the photos. Fred sorts the footage, builds the film, works on the colors (with Mic's help, by the way) and the sound. The voices, speeches and ambiences that give the film its living quality have to be brought back.

On top of that come the costs needed to run our business: equipment, computers, software, file storage and backup, insurance, operating costs, social contributions and taxes.

These are all things you can't see directly in the images we deliver, but they are part of the service we offer.

At À tantôt! Productions, our services also include a private online gallery to view and share the images, high-definition photo downloads for the couple, screen-friendly versions for your guests, and a shop to order prints and printed products.

The price of coverage therefore pays for much more than a presence on site: it covers preparation, a day of work and the whole creation of the memories you will keep afterward.

Why we charge for moments, not hours

A wedding doesn't always go exactly as planned. A speech runs long, the schedule slips, a surprise is being prepared, or an unexpected moment deserves to be given time.

So we designed our packages around the moments we want to tell together, rather than around an hour counter. We don't charge extra for every small delay or every moment that runs over.

You can enjoy your day without constantly watching the clock, and we can focus on what matters: being there when the memories are created.

The coverage of your wedding is still defined together in advance, based on the package you choose and the planned schedule. This is a point we recommend checking with every provider you meet.

Some charge for extensions by the hour, others offer flat rates or define coverage differently depending on the moments. No approach is necessarily better in absolute terms: what matters is understanding what happens if the schedule runs late.

The questions we would ask before signing

If we had to fill in our own comparison sheet, we wouldn't stop at the price, the number of photos or the length of the film. We would also want to know whether we can trust the people who will be there throughout the day.

We would want to see a full wedding coverage or an entire film, and not just a selection of the most beautiful images. That gives you an idea of the result across a whole wedding, including the more ordinary moments.

We would then check what is planned if the provider is ill or unable to attend, the cancellation and postponement conditions, and the payment terms. The contract should detail the service, the deliverables, any extra costs and the delivery conditions.

We would also want to know how long the gallery will stay available, whether the files can be downloaded in high quality, and whether the providers plan to publish the images on their social media. These are easy details to forget before the wedding, but they matter once the memories are delivered.

Finally, we would take the time to assess the human connection. We will spend a large part of the day with the people chosen to tell the story of our wedding. You need to feel at ease with them, trust their work and be able to talk freely about your expectations.

An attractive price doesn't necessarily make up for doubts about the style, the conditions or the relationship. Conversely, a more expensive package is only worthwhile if what it offers truly matches what you want.

The warning signs worth pausing over

Certain things should prompt you to ask for explanations before signing: no written contract, a quote that doesn't detail the service, a refusal to show a full coverage, or evasive answers about cancellation conditions and overtime.

Be wary too of pressure to book immediately, or of situations where the person you met at the appointment is not the one who will be there on the day, without this having been clearly explained.

A single warning sign doesn't necessarily mean you should walk away. However, you should be able to get clear answers and make your decision without pressure.

That is also why we created our notebook, Photo & Video: Our Notebook for Choosing Well. It lets you note down the important information, compare several quotes and keep a record of your impressions after each meeting.

How do you make your choice?

At the end of your search, you will probably have several quotes, different styles and services that don't fully overlap. It is not always possible to name a winner by simply comparing amounts.

We recommend going back to your initial priorities. Does the style of the images suit you? Do you feel confident? Does the coverage include the moments that matter to you? Is the budget respected? Are the conditions and delivery clear enough?

You can give each of these five criteria a score from 1 to 5 in the table in our notebook, for a total out of 25. This score helps you step back, but it doesn't replace your judgment. A significant doubt always deserves to be cleared up, even if the total is high.

The best provider is not necessarily the one with the lowest price, the most photos or the longest film. It is the one whose work, support and service best match your story and your budget.

Let's talk about your wedding

At À tantôt! Productions, we chose to work as a duo because we love telling the same moments through two complementary perspectives. We want you to be able to find the images of your day, but also its voices, its movements and those small instants that take on another dimension with time.

If you are hesitating between several packages, if you don't know which coverage would suit your day, or if you simply want to take stock of your budget, we will take the time to talk it through with you.
